Welcome to the Royal Air Force Yacht Club
With a strong RAF heritage, today our club has a wide membership base, and a focus on rallies, cruising and regattas. We warmly welcome new members and we are open to non-service personnel and visiting yachtswomen and men.
Not far from the M3 and M27, the Club is conveniently situated in Hamble village in its own extensive riverside setting. Being centrally located in the Solent, the River Hamble provides an ideal location for sailing inshore to the Isle of Wight, along the south coast or offshore to The Channel Islands, France and beyond.
We aim to have as much fun off the water as on. We pride ourselves in offering a relaxed, yet professional environment to support our members' boating needs.
We offer our Members walk-ashore and mid-stream moorings, courtesy launches, active sailing and social programmes, dinghy and outboard storage, maintenance berths, laundry, showers, parking, full bar and catering.
Anyone is welcome to book our Clubhouse accommodation and enjoy our event facilities in our waterside grounds. Please browse our web pages or contact the office to arrange a visit to the club.
Member Access: we will continue to enhance this website to include additional features, accessible to members only, including a Member's Directory, an inter-active Club Calendar, and online Booking and payment of facilities and events.
The News menu allows members to submit news for publication (if Ed approves!), access a Buy/Sell feature, browse the Insignia Shop and other Useful Links. The Afloat menu will also include access to a Crew Register.
The foot of this Home page allows members to directly access social media sites to share posts, such as experiences, advice, alerts, as well as photos and videos. This site will auto-format for tablet and mobile use.
We welcome contributions from users. If you have any sailing experiences, advice, photos or hints and tips or just want to tell us about your boat and wish to share this with others then please let us know using Facebook or the 'Contact Us' section of this website or to webmaster(I am sure you can figure out what goes here)rafyc.co.uk
