Please Note the following when booking PPYH 1 or PPYH 2

  • The combined measured overall length of boats excluding clearance must not exceed 23 metres
    • e.g. (1m Clearance) 12m Vessel (2m Clearance) 11m vessel = 23 metres (Pontoon length 26m max)
  • Boats over 15m require RCSailing/Office permission to berth on PPYH 1 or PPYH 2
  • See any booked boat length below – it is important you are accurate with your length
  • There is an additional charge for boats greater than 12m staying on berths 1 & 2.

Booking Rules

The full Yacht Haven Visitor Berthing Rules can be found in the ‘Facilities Afloat’ section and state:-

28. Berths 1 and 2 are available overnight from midday to the following midday.

29. Berth 8 is primarily for pick up/drop off/ loading only with a maximum stay of 2 hours.

30. Berth 8 may however be used overnight with arrival after 18.00 hrs and departure before 10:00 hrs.

31. Club members and visitors may only berth at the above for a maximum of 2 consecutive nights (unless prior consent is obtained).

32. No more than 2 advanced bookings can be made per yacht at any one time.

Note: Berth 8 is the Hammerhead – Max Overall measured boat length allowed is 13 metres

The office reserve the right to cancel bookings which are deemed an abuse of the booking system. 

Electricity is included within the overnight fee.

Hammerhead

From 1000 hours  to 1800 hours during the summer and 1000 hours to 1600 hours during the autumn and winter (typically from the end of BST).

Members can make use of the Hammerhead berth for 2 hours at a time, and should expect to leave on or preferably before the 2 hour limit (this does not require booking in advance).

Any overnight mooring on the Hammerhead begins at 1800 hours in the summer and 1600 hours in the autumn/winter and finishes at 1000 hours the following morning.  Users should be ready to depart at 1000 hours.  Users staying overnight are not permitted to use the hammerhead during the 2 hours prior to their booking starting.

A maximum of 1 night can be made per booking.

Berths 1 and 2

Booking and mooring time starts at 1200 hours and finishes at 1200 hours the following day.

A maximum of 2 consecutive nights can be made per booking.

If the previous incumbent leaves their berth early, say 0930 and there is nobody about on that berth if and when you come looking for an opportunity short term mooring slot then roll on in, moor up, but expect to leave on or preferably before 1200 hours, because whoever has booked it from 1200 hours is entitled for their first mooring line to go ashore at that time.

Please note PPYH 2 is the Southern berth closest to main pontoon and PPYH 1 is the Northern Berth closest to Slipway entrance.
